Phase I
The furnace is currently being installed. We have
borrowed what we could for the down payment, which we
will repay with the donations. The total cost for the
new hot water heat, piping and asbestos removal is
$95,000. Replace concrete above coal chute; water seeps
into the basement, children play area.
Phase II
Replace windows; some do not shut correctly and others
have been temporarily fixed with Plexiglas. Lowering the
ceilings, window treatments and insulation will help
lower the heating bill. Much of the electric is
original.
Phase III
Asbestos wrapped piping around the plumbing would have
to be professionally removed. Installing lockers and new
desks and chairs. Upgrading the library resources,
appearance and technology.
Phase IV
A bus stop/parking area along with fencing around the
playground will ensure the safety of the children.
Phase V
Build a small multi purpose room with a cafeteria and
kitchen is much needed as the children are served in
hallway and eat at their desk. This area will also be
used for music and school functions.
The above plan may be changed or modified without notice
as problems arise with the school.
